Press Reviews
Say hello to the upbeat festive rhythms of ska. The Legends of Brass has played a steady string of parties and local venues since its formation in 1999. At eight members, the band maintains a horn section sizeable enough to justify its name. Alto and baritone sax, trumpet and euphonium take turns carrying the melody. Organ, guitar, bass and drums also share the stage. Instead of identifying individual artists as the inspiration behind the lively instrumentals, The Legends name entire genres: ska, jazz, funk, rock, alternative, classical -- even videogames and movies. -- Dylan Roberts |
