Press Reviews
The Lassue YousOnly because it’s the most obvious way to start this review, I will say that The Lassue Yous try to rope you in with their infectious brand of catchy, jangly pop music. This short-but-sweet mini EP is a lightning quick 20 minutes of jangle, jangle and more jangle. The bop-along opening cut, “Pay For The Late Show” sounds eerily like Joel Plaskett singing a Chris Murphy-penned pop blast. Just when you think you have this trio pegged, they croon out the very countrified twang of “Yosemite,” completewith it’s high, whiney vocal harmonies. At only six songs, though, you might wonder if these guys could maintain their standard of tight and polished, Kinks-esque bopping and romping throughout an entire album. Nevertheless, this certainly has you interested in hearingmore from these jangley popsters. Giddy up! - Chart Magazine, March 2000 |
