Artist description
Very lo-fi approach to making a record. Consists of one musician who has the spare time to make a few songs using a Roland 707 drum machine as a drummer and a Digitech GSP 5 Pre-amp to make up all the guitar sounds. Vocals sound like it came from the Eric Clapton school of vocalists, but it serves its purpose. Lyrics derived from weeks of sleep-deprived hours; ranging from very cute and mushy to downright vindictive. Project started when Turn guitarist left for L.A. Music was culled from a chop-shop of songs piled onto many tapes that I had since 1996 and added lyrics and a bridge to the songs. All songs are recorded on a Tascam Portastudio 7 four-track player and is mixed onto a computer for cd duplication. Many thanks to my Turn mates Lyndon Scott and Raymond Lugo for loaning me the necessary equipment. Also many thanks to my drinking buddies and their wives for comforting me with beer, food, and comraderie. Special thanks to Pete Wise at Wise Music (Salinas, Ca.) for loaning me back-up four-track machine when mine is in the shop for repairs. |
