Artist History
Natty Nation was formed back in 1995.The first release is entitled'The Journey Has Just Begun'.Since that release, the band has spent the last 5 years touring all across the U.S. from coast to coast. Natty has mostly headlined their various shows in clubs, colleges and festivals but has opened shows for many of reggae music's greats including:Burning Spear,The Wailers,Lee'Scratch'Perry,Beenie Man, Micheal Rose and several others. In 1998 Natty released thier 2nd CD entitled 'Earth Citizen'and has still continued to spead their positive message to thousands all across the land. In 2000 a live CD entitled 'Live 99-2000' was released featuring live tracks from the Earth Citizen Tour. During the break from touring in late 2000, tragedy struck the band as 'Spiritual' leader and vocalist J-Maxx was dignosed with Cancer. Ras Maxwell passed away in late October 2001. Thoughout the difficult period, Natty has stayed united and have continued on keeping the spirit of J-Maxx and Rasta alive. Natty will be releasing there next CD "INATTY IN JAH MUSIC" in September 2002. National touring will continue as will the positive vibrations. |
