Artist History
Endearment started back in 1997 when they were known as AskanceNJ. They released a 9 song demo and played various local shows in New Jersey and a very memorable one at the legendary ABC No Rio in NYC. They gained a nice local following playing with such bands as OS101, Kill Your Idols, Anti-Product, IDK, Plan A Project and Worthless to name a few. After about 2 years playing together with a few line-up changes and 10 newly recorded songs, the band decided to change their name to Endearment. They released the 10 new songs under the new name and thus the "Trying To Kill Time" CD was contrived. Since then, the band has been playing when they can (all of them go to schools in different states along the East Coast so it's kinda rough) and have continued kicking out their own style of intense emotional melodic hardcore tunes like only they can. Recently they have played with such bands as Sky Came Falling, Fast Times, Purpose, Silence Wields No Beauty and Chin Music (RIP). Their greatest achievement and greatest moment of their playing career came this past Spring when they played with the mighty Sick Of It All at Penn State University. It was the most amazing show they have ever played. They recently acquired a new drummer (and now have brothers in the band) and recorded 3 songs for an upcoming CD EP. These new tracks are far superior to anything they've done so far and are sure to get them the recognition and respect they have been working so hard for. Look for it to be out soon - hopefully this fall. |
