Artist History
Formed in the spring of 2000 after the bands of each individual member dissipated. With over 500 shows under their combined belts over 8 years for some and 12 years for others of playing out. We combined ourfive separate styles of music influenced from formed bands to create Dilznik and the Family Jewels. DFJ together in less than a years time have played most of the major Pittsburgh punk scene venues, from headlining the first two Indie Fest shows at the Millvale Industrial Theatre to Club Laga, which carries everymajor "national" act that comes through Pittsburgh. Our style of fast, up-tempo punk tunes range from a number of old-school styles to modern pop punk with three-part harmony. The overall stage presence and audience participation makes for an entertaining nightof non-stop energy. On stage, Dilznik and the Family Jewels will not disappoint the venue they play for, and sooner or later we will be heard. As for the name, figure it out. |
