Artist History Playing venues all over greater Ohio and southern Mexico, this Cincinnati-based modern rock band puts on an entertaining show, while making a point of being real on stage about who they are. They have seen firsthand the power of God as he ministers through their talent as writers and musicians. Drummer Rick Stevens admits, "none of us are exceptional musicians, however our music is powerful. Somehow we can all come together with what talent God has given us, give it our all, and the result is something more amazing than we as humans could ever create."Lead singer Joshua Parsell considers song-writing "an awesome act of creation in community that nothing else can compare to." His vision for the band is to continue writing "inspired music that appeals to our generation." Andy Neumann (lead and backup vocals, lead and rhythm guitars) shares a similar vision to serve God and reach out through the music, which he believes is the best thing about being in the band. “If I didn’t feel like God was in [our music], or had a desire to use us,” he says, “there wouldn’t be anything worth playing for.” The band has recently gone through some line-up changes, as a heavier playing schedule requires more flexibility. Sarah Huenke (lead and backup vocals) and Kyle Lipps (bass) are longtime friends who joined the band in the summer of 2000. promising was excited to see the debut of their EP "this is life..." in October 2000. They trust that God will continue to lead them as they return from a Christmas missions trip to Mexico in December and hit the new year running with an unusually agressive playing and recording schedule in 2001.
