Almost all material is instrumental, all played by Mik. Occasional guest appearances from other musicians where listed. Styles range from Easy Fusion (kind of a cross between Jazz Fusion and Easy Listening) through pop, rock, funk and ambient genres with elements of classical and folk in there too. Lots of different things going on! |

Artist History
Mik studied music from ages 8 through 18, including several years studying Pianoforte and music theory. In his mid teens experimentation and improvisation gradually replaced study and academia. Electricity started playing an increasingly major role! Over the years Mik has played in a whole host of musical projects including work with Jazz-Rock workshops, Classic Rock covers bands, Blues/Fusion, Acoustic World & Roots music, BritPop and Funk outfits. The five years prior to his emigration were spent running a successful project in England, writing and recording film and video scores. Mik moved from England to the USA in December of 1997. He decided to spend some time getting back into guitar-based music (bass being considered his "main" instrument). The first two albums of material for MP3.com (Extinct Instinct and Chance Became A Fine Thing) feature noodlings written and recorded since that move. |
