Artist History In the beginning, there was nothing. Not a speck of cosmic dust or a single amino acid to be found, absolute zero. About 10 billion years ago, a great something appeared out of the nothingness and with a Big Bang, the universe was born. Through carefully planned steps, meticulous in detail, and through fantastic accidents that no one or nothing could have foreseen, four individuals on a seemingly insignificant blue-green planet orbiting an unregarded small yellow sun on the far side of the galaxy came together at the dawn of a new millennium (by Earth standards anyway) and created a musical force that threatens to consume this planet with power and fortitude unheard of in this universe! So strap in and prepare for lift-off as bag rocks your galaxy!! Created in the summer of 2000 by ace guitarist and manager Jason Smith, a founder & formerly of the famous Austin rock band 7 Stones, and guitarist/singer Barry Welch, a founder of popular Houston band Hip Sent Oscar, they found long-time Austin bassist Scott Carlin (founder & former member of local rock bands Provocative Elbow and Odd Job) through classified ads to supply the phat & funky low-end. Local pro jazz drummer & percussion virtuoso Jacob Nehman was looking for a new creative outlet and Jason brought him into the fold to round out the rockin’ rhythm section with his precise and solid drumming. In the summer of 2002, Barry and Jacob parted ways with the band and Jason and Scott recruited two new bad-asses to replace them and take BAG to an even higher level! Jose Ruales and Quitze Martinez on drums and lead vocals respectively, are the newest additions to the BAG family!!

Press Reviews Overall I was impressed by this band and the calliber of rock that they delivered - would like to hear more!! As far as offering criticism its kinda hard when they sound this good.
