Artist description
Widdershin are a mix of beutifull, haunting gothic melodies, mournfull classical instrumentals, and gothic industrial electronica, contrasted with the most extreme metal youve heard in your life! All of this is backed up by superior technical ability, epic production, and a goth image that will impress the numbest of the MTV generation. |

Artist History
At the heart of Widdershin is Peter Crane, who writes all of the music for the band. Peter has been playing the guitar since the age of 5-6 and has been using computers with music since 1997.When Peter and Robert got together musically, it was for Robert to do some vocals over Peter's so far instrumental tracks constructed at his home studio. From there they started doing live shows and the first Widdershin CD was made.Recently the duo relocated from their native Coffs Harbour to Canberra, Australia's capitol, to take Widdershin more seriously and pursue the band as a career. |

Press Reviews
"I really have to say, should you ever be in an area where Widdershin graces the stage, I really urge you to go see them.... Vocalist Robert is breath-taking and none can bludgeon a 6-string like Peter.""...with a wicked mix of computerized beats and organ chords, topped off by awesome Goth guitar and a voice that sounds as though it had been attacked with a cheese-grater. Don't miss these guys" - Raw Magazine. "Widdershin have the potential to usurp the heavy metal throne of the globe. Perfect in their orchestral arrangements, and spearheaded by the most competent and youthful songwriter the Aus metal scene has spawned." - Empress in Thorns. "The music appealed to me greatly. I could sit and listen to it for hours, as it has a great ethereal feel and sound, with enough faster/harder parts to keep me engrossed for ages." - Gothic-Rose. "their CD is genuine a jewel for all Cradle OF Filth fans" - Amboss WebZine. |
