Artist description
Dennis: premiered at ten years old as a Bob Dylan cover Kid. 20 years later he still talks story in his songs like Bob Does. In between he has studied every radio frequency that has come and gone. In the late 80's Dennis played with St. Louis Punk Rocker Eugene Baker and later acquired "Country Tendencies" with Florida born and raised Johnny Galvin who he held rythym for until he returned to California. Not lasting long in the classroom, he did get a heavy dose of classical structure from "Professor McChesney", which he later took to his front porch and spent hours of application with Classical Legend, Julian, who has played with "los ponchos" y " the four hombres." Dennis found him chasing a bottle of vodka two blocks from his house. Dennis spent endless hours in the elements of Metal, Hard Rock, and Blues, performing with his great friend and mentor, Steve Larson. He has played locally with the Jackdaws, a Rockabilly/Country trio, and Curbside, a heavy punk band. "Curbside", in tribute, can be found on "Scratched Out in Soul." He is currently studying "Montana" Funk with former Statue Man, Trim, guitarist Mike Favero, who can be heard on the upcoming album as well. |

Artist History
the projectIs a compilation of all the things dennis has studied, learned and swiped from the players listed above. In his time he has been known to pocket a couple tricks as well from Shawn Packer, "Sketch, Shitkickers," Sean Bjiordahl, "Curbside" and even Lars Frederickson of "Rancid"It Started as a "portable instrument" project. Working with Ryan Hoffman who formerly held the sticks for Lisa Dewey and The Bindlestiffs, and John Tacci, It lasted a little over a day in the studio, the fifth "scratch" track brought with it the reality that this collaboration needed to be taken up, way up, and the project is gettin' er done |
