Artist History
Mark Wadmore has had a life long passion for music, and was brought up in the "Swinging Sixties" in the UK. He was exposed to the magic of many sing-a-long sessions by his Father,Bob Wadmore (and friends)at a very early age.In 1972 Mark emigrated to New Zealand with his family. In 1973 Mark was given his first guitar for his thirteenth Birthday, and has messed around with one ever since.Mark started seriously writing songs in 1993, and to date has penned 52 solo compositions plus collaborated with Glen Moffatt on three songs, one of which,"Radio Radio" was the opening track on Glen's second album "A PLACE TO PLAY" released in November 1998.Mark has also written five songs with guitarist Will Young.Late 1998 saw Mark helping friend and fellow musician Dion Wilson produce his mini album 'First Tracks" on cassette, and then in early 1999 Dion returned the compliment by producing the artwork for Mark's mini cassette album "Christmas In The Waikato". In October - December 1999 Mark achieved a life long aspiration by producing, engineering, recording and financing his first CD entitled "A FOUNDATION ON FLAWS" in his home studio, which was essentially a project put together as a Christmas present for family and close friends. There are curretly 35 copies of A Foundation On Flaws in existence (plus the CD Master). In October 2000 Mark recognised a good opportunity to share his music with the world, and registered as an mp3.com artist.Mark currently lives in Tirau,South Waikato,NZ and is about to start working on a new CD. |
