Artist History
Kain was formed when drummer John (Johnny) Raven was in search of other musicians with a goal similar to his and he found vocalist Michael Keenan, and bassist Shawn Potak. With the addition of two friends, Matt Tazari and Adam Rich on guitar, Kain had a complete line-up. The five rehearsed diligently covering radio tunes and writing originals. After about a year of rehearsing and writing material, Adam and Matt decided that the work was too much and they left the band. Fortunately, a month after Kain was first formed Mike had taken up guitar. So now Mike was singing and playing guitar. Michael Keenan (Guitar/Vocals), Shawn Potak (Bass), and John Raven (Drums) is Kain. Ever since 1997, it has been a long haul for the trio. They’ve been writing and recording material as well as playing shows. Many copies of their recently recorded demo have been circulated throughout the area. Kain has been gigging ever since their completion of a full setlist in 1999 and have attracted many fans. They hope to continue playing music for their fans and aspire to make it big one day. |
