Artist description The young Turkish twin sisters, Ferhan and Ferzan Önder, through their expressive but also electrifying playing have established themselves among the most promising young piano duos in the world's concert circuit. After winning many international prizes, the duo appeared at the prestigious Salzburg Festival, where they were presented with the Career Promotion Prize of the City of Salzburg. Their professional training began at the Hacettepe University in Ankara, Turkey, finishing at the Vienna Academy of Music under Noel Flores and Paul Badura-Skoda (mp3.com/badura). Extensive concert tours have taken the duo throughout Europe and the Far East in major music metropolises such as Munich (Gasteig), Leipzig (Gewandhaus), Stuttgart (Liederhalle), Zurich (Tonhalle), Barcelona (Palau de la Musica), Vienna (Konzerthaus and Musikverein), Tokyo (Nikkei Hall), and Taipei (National Concert Hall).
