Artist History During the summer of 99 Em received an e-mail from a singer/guitar player named Liz who read aCadallaca concert review that Em wrote for her webpage. In the review, Em mentioned that sheplayed drums therefore Liz nearly pissed her pants in excitment and quickly e-mailed her asking ifshe would like to jam around some time. Em, who had been searching for someone to play with forlike a million years said yes so the two of them got together and jammed around on some Bikini Killand Sleater Kinney covers in Em's garage.Eventually, Em and Liz taught each other songs they had written and started to write together.Since Em's main love was the guitar (and is also a picky little bitch that always has to have her way)she decided that they needed to find a different drummer. Liz knew of a girl in her area namedRebecca who was exellent at playing drums and after many weeks of playful blackmail from one ofRebecca's friends, Mike, she finally got her number. Em, Liz and Rebecca jammed around for a little while and even played at a party. Eventully, theyall realized that Rebecca had too many things going on in her life to participate any longer. Theywent their separate ways and Em and Liz were back to where they started: drummerless. One day, as Em and Liz ate lunch with Liz's family, Liz went on a rampage about how the indyflick, "Welcome to the Dollhouse" was such a genius movie. For those of you who don't know, it'sa chessy movie about this girl named Dawn who is always picked on. She then said it would beneat if the film makers made a sequel to the movie called "Dawn's Revenge". Everyone at the table,including Liz's parents and her brother, Bob, looked at each other and said that would be a greatname for our un-named band. So for those of you who were drooling over the band's name youcan thank Liz by sending her a bag of cheesy Doritos. Hoping to find a new drummer, Em put an ad up at Off the Record in Hillcrest. Within days, a boynamed Glen called up Liz saying he'd be interested in playing drums. When Liz contacted Em withthis information she almost pissed her pants. The three jammed together once before hiring Glen because the girls were in awe of how much energy he put into playing.
