Artist description
We are an experimental electonica/dance collective with a sense of humor. The great majority of our songs are created from self-made loops (either played by us or friends), or taken from royalty-free sample CD sources.. While some of our songs are delibrately structured, others are are usually arranged around a few main breakbeats over which we improvise the addition of other samples and live riffs. Everything we do is strictly for entertainment and we never release a song that we did not enjoy creating. |

Artist History
We made our first recording as a group in 1990, for a single called "Where The Dominating Force Is Sound". That master tape, which used drum machine, a simple Casio sampler keyboard, live bass (played by an outside musician), and several sampled vocals (Ozzy Osbourne, Bill Cosby, Johnny Rotten), was copied onto cassetes for a few friends and then initially shelved after being completed. The tape was revived in 1993 for possible airplay on local radio, and, thanks to local DJ/Badlees songwriter Mike Naydock, the group succeeded in getting airplay for the song on WAZL-AM's "Roundtable Record Review" in 1993, and, over a year later, on the WZMT 97.9 The Mountain program, "A Cellarful Of Noise". This latter exposure was a unique event for a techno group, as WZMT is normally a classic rock station! Despite these setbacks, the RB's were unable to get their act together as a group and complete further material until recently, hindered by a lack of technology, time, and money.Recently, however, the Rabbit Hunters, have been compiling new material for their long-awaited first commercial releases. |
