Artist History Matthew Thies is based out of Austin, TX. He writes ambient music and designs instruments in Csound, a software synthesis and signal processing language. In 2001, Matthew received a bachelor's degree in Music Syntheis from Berklee College of Music in Boston, MA, where he studied computer music with Dr. Richard Boulanger.
