Artist description
Klovr draws their musical influences from aggressive and dark soundscapes. Klovr began to develop their own sound that they affectionately refer to as "synthcore." The result being a near-perfect blend of passionate vocals, ravaging guitars, pounding bass, driving drums, and thick synthesizers ~~ Klovr drenches their listeners in surges of intense sonic pleasure. Their distinctive sound, melded with liltingly fierce vocals and thought-provoking lyrics, never fail to entertain and cause listeners to search their inner-selves about a variety of pertinent subjects. |

Artist History
Klovr was formed in January 2000 when former band-mates Tim Stratton, Justin Debus, and Steven Dahl teamed up with vocalist Courtney Frank to create a female-fronted hardcore music that was more than just another "screamer" band. Three of the members of Klovr have previously performed at a wide variety of venues all over the United States including clubs, colleges, outdoor festivals such as Cornerstone 98, as well as having toured the east coast. Currently, since Klovr just began performing together last summer, they are doing shows at a high volume in the midwest. Not so recently the band played in Denver at Vision Fest and The New Union in MN, where they made many new fans! Klovr's unique, dynamic, intriguing sounds combined with their experiences, makes them worthwhile entertainment for any audience. "We have been gone a while.... but we're back!" |

Press Reviews
6th Annual Lincoln Crusade Coverage August 16, 2000from www.lincolnlifeonline.bizland.comLast but certainly not least, Klovr*. A very peculiar band out of Kearney. Although I can't think of what category this band would fall into, their self proclaimed "synth-core" style, definitely stole the show. Doing just what music should, while giving Lincoln's youth a positive alternative to the violent filled music delivered by main stream heavy metal bands today. Powered by the pounding bass and drums. Crossed with a very Hendrix type guitar, add some grungy synth sounds and top it off with unique female vocal poetry. Truly Music at its finest. *************************************************** RockFest 2 Review, September 23, 2000from http://devoted.to/yes Klovr from Kearney was up next. I have nothing but praise for this band. How can anyone not like a band with a female lead singer who was not only appealing to the eyes but also has a great rock voice. Watching this band made me feel like I was at a national rock band show like POE or Garbage except harder playing style. This band announced the completion of their first album to the crowd at the Rock and I hope to be one of the first people to pick it up because it is my belief that out of the bands from this show this is the one who will be huge beyond this state. Watch for Klovr shows and go see them. Great band, very in sync with each others playing.************************************************** Hallo'D Blast Shatter The Darkness 10.31.00 from www.lincolnlifeonline.bizland.comAnd FINALLY after 3 months of waiting...KLOVR. Oh man if you have not taken the time to check out this band you are really missing out. KLOVR played Lincoln before, last Aug. at the Lincoln For Christ Crusade. I have been in or around the music industry for just about 15 years of my life, rubbing shoulders with some of the best. These guys love what they do and it shows in every performance. Unlike any other band I have ever seen. The cross between Tim's demanding presence on stage and powerful vocals packed into such a tiny package, backed by the ultra heavy "synth core" music, delivers a show you will never forget. Who know's it might even change your life. It changed mine! |
