Artist History
Firefly began writing lyric and poetry back in 1991. First began performing spoken word at L.A. area readings in 1992. That same year, started performing on public access show as "scarecrow," rhyming on live TV over early techo sounds. Formed electronic group with brother/ producer Jordan in 1993 called "The Outlandish Janitors," of which Firefly was a member and contributor until 1996. Became a solo artist known as "mars hill" for a compilation release on N-Soul in 1997 with the track "Asylum." Now emergin once again as a solo lyrical poet and all around BeatSpeaker known as Firefly. New material is forthcoming. |
