Artist description
Dis-ke'-nekt is an aggressive band from the Seattle area. The music of dis-ke'-nekt is eclectic, with roots planted deep in the punk rock and metal scenes of the eighties and nineties, with intention of evolving these genres for the new millennium. The music can only be described as heavy- the tempo, upbeat. Pounding bass; a lean, chunky guitar; crisp, intense drumming; and vocals that alter between growls of anger and disgust, and a pleading whisper for sanity. To truly represent their music, dis-ke'-nekt offers an aggressive live show as well. A lot of energy seems to be missing from the live acts of today. The fear of not achieving record quality during a live show seems to hamper the essence of these bands. Dis-ke'-nekt views live performance as its own arena, not only meeting expectations of a dynamic show, but keeping the music tight and in your face. Energy is maintained throughout the show, feeding the audience what they truly need at a live, metal show: A release from their aggressions through an energy only this type of music can provide. |

Artist History
Dis-ke'-nekt has been together since September 1998. We've played several shows locally, but are now trying to branch out to a larger audience. Each of us have been in several Seattle area bands since the mid-eighties to present. We truly love the music, and are working hard to craft songs that cut through the B.S. |

Press Reviews
www.abrasiverock.com says, "When I played the cd excpecting a Gimp Biskit clone and got foot to the floor metal I was very pleasantly surprised. The first song, "Lethal Man," is heavy, crunchy, angry, and has a great hook that grabs you right away." And, they continue, "The whole cd is full of hooks without getting trendy... The singer used to be in a great band called Sabre... these are not some little kids who don't know their roots." |
