Artist description BURN! is a new Finnish group founded by young professional jazz/rock musicians. The members areBURN! plays energetic funk/groove type of instrumental music with jazzy solos. The music respectfully follows the fine tradition of instrumental funk established by groups like the Headhunters and the Brecker Brothers. While using the tradition as a solid base for compositions, the group also uses trendy elements from contemporary music. The compositions are by the leader Pessi Levanto. Because of its funky, soulful foundation, the group fits perfectly in a club- or partylike enviroment, but thanks to its interesting tunes and skillfull playing it may also be enjoyed in a concert situation.
