Artist description
Brother of Man is a four piece rock band based in Miami. BOM music is a fusion of aggressive accoustic and progressive rock. The songs have a hard edge and progressive arrangement, but at the heart of all of them is a passionate vocalist and his accoustic. Over the top drums, bass and lead guitar take accessible chord progressions and easily digestable melodic lyrics beyond the stratosphere and turn the charismatic accoustic Dr. Jekyl into a highly energetic (and interesting) Mr. Hyde. |

Artist History
Brother of Man formed in Miami in the fall of 1999. Accoustic singer/songwriter Peter Walsh was introduced to veteran progressive and fusion rocker Michael Moreno. The pair came from very different musical backgrounds. They toyed with different deliberate musical ideas before realizing their best music arose when each was allowed to liberate their respective musical personalities and compose/arrange in a natural unfettered fashion. This liberty was extended to the band's other members. Percussionist Leonardo Blair lends a Jazz/Fusion inspiration, while bassist Bill Griffin prefers a straight rock approach. The result is a sound that seems familiar yet is impossible to place. With each subsequent composition the sound began to become more distinct and yet ironically, its' description more elusive. This band's music may be impossible to accurately describe "in a nutshell" until they retire and their work is done. In spite of the tenuous evolving nature of their sound, one thing is certain - it rocks. |
