Artist History
refrain formed in 1998 and released the independent album "Broken Tongues", which was mixed by platinum producer/engineer Michael Wagener. The success of that album took the band all over the world including Europe and South America. In 1999 alone, the band performed before more than 50,000 people and shared the stage with acts like Sammy Hagar, Styx, Starship, Blue Oyster Cult, Bad Company, Heart, and more. The album also found success at radio around the country including three charting singles on the "Progressive Airplay Journal" LOUD chart, a small national chart consisting mostly of college radio stations. Some of refrain's music can also be found on soundtracks to the yet to be released films "Lost On Highway 709" produced by Canadian film company UMC and directed by Chris Carter and "Los Deliquentes" produced by Little Jeremy Productions of Germany. refrain has attained great success without the backing of a major record company, but the band is ready to take that next step. |
