Artist description
bernhard drax was sick of being a (well compensated) sideman and formed his own outfit in august 2000 to make art with no compromises.he recorded his first album in munich, germany the following month with a bunch of old friends. a lot of guests are featured on bass-clarinet, accordion, cello, violin and vibraphon in order to create a music between all defined styles.but you know what:although some stuff is pretty weird, it has some really hypnotic hooks. |

Artist History
Bernhard Drax wrote a ton of tunes since he started with music in 1985 at the age of 15, picking up the guitar. He went on to play for numerous projects and ensembles and became versatile in all different styles. During his classical studies at the Conservatory in Munich, Germany he incorporated even more influences in his compositional style, which is a blend of Zappaish harmonies but also very accesible melodies. Bernhard sings and plays guitar, keyboards, accordion, sitar and vibraphon on his first record.the lyrics are quite personal though a lot of people wil be able to identify if they are willing to dig deeper. |
