    Artist description
We are a 7 piece Aternative Funk band with very eclectic influences, including music such as Jazz, Rock, Punk, and Ska. Although our sound most closely matches that of theRed Hot Chili Peppers, we are very unique, and really have a sound of our own. There have been many different reactions to our music, but all of them seem to be accepting and positive.

    Artist History
This band has a somewhat interesting beginning. It started out when a new drummer auditioned for a band. He met the bassest and hit it off famously. However, he decided that he didn't really want to be a part of that band. So, since the bassest wasready for a change, they thought about forming a new band. One day, they were in a music store, and noticed a flyer on the wall. It read "Punk/Ska guitarist looking for bassest and drummer." They looked ateach other and said "that is us!" The next day they gave this guitarist a call. It turns out that he wasreasonably experianced, and had recently broken up with a ska band which he started and that was reasonably knownin the area for around 4 years. They met and clickedinstantly. They decided to get together for anotherpractice session a few days later, and were all veryexcited. Little did the drummer and bassest know thatthe guitar player was still in contact, and on good terms with two of the horn players from his old band.Over the next two practices, one by one, these players were introduced into the group, and welcomed with open arms. The guitar player also knew of a third hornplayer through his work, and he as well was accepted into the band. All that was needed was a singer. A close friend was given a shot, but due to a bad substance addiction, was not given the job.An ad was placed in a local musicians zine, and the first response that they recieved was the one thatthey were looking for. At that point, The J-Walkerswas complete. Since that point, they have been very active, and not only played out frequantly, but have recorded a 5 song demo.
