Artist description
10 piece (5 horns, 2 Guitars, Bass, Drums, Keyboards, including a vintage Hammond B3 organ).Music is Blues-branded Rock & Soul. The band has a very "in-your-face attitude".Very high energy approach with a tight pace and a "show-based" approach to live performances. We do not play "sets" of music, we play "shows", usually one hour in length.Tight rhythm section featuring thousands of "dues-paid" hours between the ryhthm section members. Ages range from 29-53 years.Excellent horn section including Trumpet, Alto sax, Tenor sax, Trombone, Baritone sax.The horns play very effectively as a section and individual members solo very well. Ages range from 25 to 38 years. |

Artist History
The Groove Hogs have been together approx. 7 years with the core of current members together approx 4 years. The band was formed in an effort to escape the utility role of bands (Weddings, corporate events, etc., etc.)initial gigs were small blues and rock clubs where the bands were allowed to play what they want to play. The venues have gotten bigger and better over the years including large festivals with thousands of audience members in attendance at show time. The band has produced 2 compact disks. The first disk turned a profit and did recieve airplay on local radio stations in our region/market.The second CD, "No Small Feat" is rapidly gaining in popularity and has received very strong response. Based on current projections, it will match the sales of the first CD in about 30% of the time. |
