Artist History
is Adam Armaganian (Guitar), Tattoo Frank (Lead Vocals), Richard (Iron Fist) Dahl Jr.(Drums), Gorilla (Bass) Heavy Metal has suffered in the past few years in the United States.Only now is there a resurgence of Metal as the veterans of the genre have tried to re-establish themselves in a world full of hybrid music. But the time has come for new blood to enter the arena.Premonition, based in South Florida, strives forth to bring Metal Glory back to the States in this coming era.Formed in March of 1997 Tattoo Frank (vocals), he has chosen true Metal Warriors for this elite Metal Machine. Adam Armaganian (guitars), and newest recruit Gorilla (bass). Each member brings an element of Metal of the days of old. Influences ranging from: Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Dio, and Twisted Sister to name a few.Their debut release, “He Is Rising,” was produced by Brian Fitzpatrick at Associated Audio in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida in July of 1997. They received tremendous acclaim and even captured the attention of the European market by spawning a hit single (Mr. Heroin) on the Greek charts that topped at #8. They manned a new assault with their follow-up release of “Fame Has A Price”, which was produced by Erwin Musper at Criteria Studiosin Miami, Florida in December of 1998. This release also came with it's share of Metal Glory. Having been featured on several tribute compilations, the band is now readying themselves for a new release.Premonition keeps making an impact in the South Florida area with their outrageous energy at their live performances. The audience is left in awe at the brutal metal onslaught they witness. The group has established air play on local radio stations and in Europe. Rich harmonies, solid musicianship, and powerful lyrics are now trademarks of this Heavy Metal band. Their music captures the angst and joys of life that is openly honest and full of reality; this has developed intoa strong following in the Heavy Metal Faith in South Florida. |

Press Reviews
“Well, Premonition from Florida definitely seem to have every valve pumping metal from their hearts with a great, great release of mid-80's inspired metal...” - King Fowley in Worm Gear“He Is Rising is a straight between the eyes heavy metal CD. Heavily influenced by the likes of Iron Maiden and Black Sabbath...” - Derek Daniel, Stormbringer Webzine“On He Is Rising, Premonition takes metal from its current preoccupation (the blending of rap and punk) and takes it back 10 to 15 years,...playing theatrical, episodic rock music....” - John Gaskill in JAM magazine"With so many testicle impaired bands cluttering up the S.Fla. music scene, it's a nice change of pace to find a band with balls. PREMONITION proudly wave the sword of heavy metal and don't make any damn apologies about it."- Heavy Metal Tim in DBM"Premonition is one of only a handful of bands nowadays that knows how to write songs that keep me captivated throughout the entirety of the song, and can actually play real solos that aren't just a bunch of high notes strewn together in a random fashion just to claim they have a solo."- Nick Tompkins in Kremlin Kore"What else could I say except that Premonition is surely the most heaviest band in South Florida, no doubt about it !!! You're great and very interesting and I'm sure that Premonition will be among the future Gods of the revival of True Heavy-Metal in Florida and United States!!!"- Eric Bron |
