Press Reviews
Right in the classic vein! Ow! Van Morrison jams with The Band. Of course, the singer's got his sh*t together, vocally. And the backing band is very competent, seasoned sounding. Love the organ-horn combo. Good, steady R'n'B-flavored rock song in the classic vein. If I had to pick something to criticize, the lyrics are harsher than the music. Like Captain Beefheart singing his twisted version of a Cat Stevens song, or something. Interesting combo, I think it works. |
