Artist History " Keep it straight, or I don't want to hear it ". The first words from the first song on the debut album from the hard rock band EyeInside. With energetic live shows and killer songs with great hooks and strong melodies, they have kept true to themselves and their influences, never compromising, always "keeping it straight". In order to turn these classics in the making into an album, they enlisted the help of producer Glen Robinson (Tea Party, Voivod, Headstones, etc...) and had the mastering done by Howie Weinberg (Korn, Disturbed, Staind...) at Masterdisk in NYC, a combination that puts the recording on par with any major label release, no small feat for an independant act. With an album containing many potential singles, EyeInside is ready to conquer the hard rock charts. "Whatever we feel like doing at that particular time, that's what we do", explains singer, guitarist and main songwriter Daniel Bérubé. "Everything we do is guided by feeling, by raw emotions, and I think people can relate to that. The sense I get from talking to a lot of people at our shows is that they're tired of the bullshit of manufactured product designed to tell you exactly what you're supposed to like. Because of that, a band like us is refreshing. They can all find something in our songs to relate to, be it having to deal with all the hypocrites out there ("Don't Bother"), having a fear of commitment ("Can You Tell Me?"), or not being "Mr. Fucking Perfect" ("So Sorry"). I can especially relate to that one, heh heh." EyeInside is a trio fronted by singer/guitarist Daniel Bérubé, a native of New Brunswick who uprooted himself to Montreal, to pursue a music career, something that was impossible to do in his hometown of Edmundston. Since then, he's played in many bands as a guitarist, his last project with former/current Voivod frontman Denis "Snake" Bélanger in Union Made gave him the kick in the ass he needed to start his own band. Sylvain "Sylver" Grondin, the beat behind the machine, is a childhood friend of Dan's. They started their first band together while still living in Edmundston, and found themselves playing together again once in Montreal. Dan met bass player Steve Knight when they worked on a project a few years back. His amazing vocal talent and bass skills is an invaluable part of the EyeInside line-up. Now the timing is right for the boys to kick some serious ass.
