Artist History
Hailing from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, Belvedere is one of North America's hardest working punk rock outfits. In 1998, the band record recorded their first album, "Because No One Stopped Us" on Hourglass Records and 206 Records. They recently toured across Canada with Bad Religion and Strung Out and were the winners of the 1998 Vans Warped Tour Amateur Band Contest. They are on tour 9 months out of the year, and for a band that does not have a bigger label release, thats quite impressive. Speaking of which, they just released an amazing album on JumpStart Records out of Pennsylvania entitled "Angels Live In My Town"; 14 tracks of full-throttle hardcore punk. To sum it up...since the Bad Religion tour in May '99, Belvedere played 75 shows on a 90 day tour throughout all of Canada and the US. |
