Artist description
At what point in society does the value of music in its relationship to society move from a productive beneficial tool to a commodity that doesn't necessarily help or perpetuate society? Is the role of music and sound purely for the entertainment of a small minority or is it a tool for which the human race can use to further progress itself as a whole? Can the tonality and frequency interactions of sound in a mathematical sense shed light on the basic root level interactions between humans?One-to-one ratios - mutliples and variablesHow can we as ever probing entities fully understand or even accurately analyze these daily situations of ours, which we share, within a societal system, when the tools to do such that, aren't quite yet imagined or made available? |

Artist History
Aspects Of Physics believes strongly in the idea of free informational flow systems. We realized that there is a striking similarity between the open source community which collaborates and functions as a gift culture, where one's social status is predicated upon by how much one gives away and to the music/art community in which we feel we are more intimately aligned with. We see the GNU licensing agreement fitting well not only with software but also music. It basically states that the softwares' code is open and can be freely distributed. Any one has the right to change the code and adapt it to there own needs. The only stipulation is that all changes must be sent back to the originating source wherein it could be used to help further the software's utility aspect ratios. For, a truly good tool is one in which it exceeds its initial intended use. We are currently progressing in a way in which we feel will align and adapt those ideas to sound and information. We will be releasing all of our music for free in a compressed format, whether that be as mp3 files or some other format. We are also releasing our music in the same way that software gets released. Music by nature is a work in progress, every performance is different, even listening to a prerecorded piece changes because of differential air flows and other environmental variables. Knowing this, we will be 'beta testing' all of our music by releasing different versions and trying to come up with a final release. |
