Artist History A teacher and student of Hawaiian music and culture, as well as an accomplished vocalist and slack key guitar player. His knowledge of Hawaiian music, and his vocal range allow Al to explore styles as widely diverse as the Makaha Sons, Olomana, and Gabby Pahinui. Al frequently plays club dates, conventions, and University functions in the Honolulu area, with occasional outer island and mainland engagements.
