Press Reviews
SEBASTIAN BACH CONCERT Last Wednesday was the most excitement-filled, fist-pumping, ass-kicking, sweat-making, hot-chick- watching concert experience ever! Sebastian Bach, the former lead singer of Skid Row, was in town at the Pyramid Cabaret, and he did not disappoint. I was not sure what to expect. My first real introduction to the songs of Skid Row occured about 10 or 15 minutes before we left for the concert from my place. Soon after,we were treated to a surprising opening act. We had heard that the opening band, ACID SPLASH, had "2 chicks" in it, but usually metal chicks are ugly and can't really play worth crap. This was not true at all.The drummer was solid but relatively un-noticed. The bass player was a cool-looking guy that was really getting into the music, and the lead vocalist had a freakin' amazing voice. Kind of Dave Mustaine-ish, I'd say. Certainlyfit the amazing music. But the two twin guitarists (yes, twins :) were amazing. Unlike chick guitar players like in the "metal" band Kittie, these 2 women could play their freakin' guitars as good as anyone I'd seen. They played some really great metal. I enjoyed it. It was enjoyed by all. That was one hell of a time! And man, I can NOT forget about those women. All of them. In the audience, on the stage! Just like metal should be - about the music and about the women! |
