Artist description
"Scarper! play twin guitared pop-punk backed with a trumpet. But they aren't really one of these generic UK pop-punk bands at all. They have their own musical personality that makes them stand out from the crowd somewhat." as quoted by Collective Website (http://collective.n3.net) |

Formed in 1994, a few changes of drummer (in true Spinal Tap fashion), and hence six years later we're still here. Played over 150 gigs, and released three 7"s and one album. We just like to rock. |

Press Reviews
"This is a great CD! I loved their EP and this kills too. UK pop punkmeets indie stuff in the vein of SNUFF and MEGA CITY FOUR. Loose butenergetic with a mixture of horns, girl back up vocals, piano and chunkyguitar. One of those releases that clicks the way the NEWTOWN NEUROTICSclicked at their peak." Maximum RocknRoll "This album was probably one of the biggest surprises of the year so far for me. Just take a listen to "Wipeout the Day" - a song so catchy you'll be singing the chorus out loud. Reminds me heavily of Limp. And in the realm of pop-punk, does a comparison come any higher than that? Well, basically, no. Come on, you know this is going to be a sure thing. A very impressive debut album indeed" - collective website "This is just amazing, I love this! After the wonderful split with LITHIUM JOE last year, this new 4 track EP sees the band return with songs even more catchy that before!" Jungle Jim "These manic kids play a dry roast blend of happy-go-punky tootin' tunes that will rock anyone with an ounce of rhythm in their decrepit bones." Happy House "Right then, four tracks, bits of trumpet, neat melodic vocals, some top swinging vibes, cool riffing and this winds up being absolutely totally different to anything else anywhere which is far more than just a minor achievement in this day of pile after pile ofgeneric, plageristic slop."
