Artist History HAPPY BOY was formed from the burnt out embers of seminal New York space-punk band SEX CIRCUS STAR and experimental sound collective LAUNDROBOT. They recorded one demo (Margarine), a full length CD (God Hates Me), one EP of instrumentals and lost tracks (16 Tracks), an independent film score (The Wrong Egg), original music for a theatrical production (Criminal Genius), and a second full length CD (Set the Machines to High), before officially disbanding in the summer of 2002 due to internal pressures. Happy Boy frequented the stages at various clubs in and around the East Village: CBGB, Under Acme, The Continental, and the Parkside Lounge. The individual members of Happy Boy continue to work on various other projects, including JeanPaul, Karate Ruler, Mister Littlejeans, and most recently BOB.
