Artist description
DMCS strives to subvert and destroy all convetional methods of song creation, resulting in the ultimate lo-fi, abstract sound. Techniques of noise creation and regurgitation are based largely around the arrangement of found and created sounds on cassettes, which are then played back at the same time, at various volumes and intervals, with the addition of some live instruments, noises, or sound-distorting environments. The result is a form of busy minimalism; an abstraction of mainstream musical patterns, replacing the guitar-vocals-bass-drums trap with anything else possible. |
