    Artist History
Starting in Mid 1999, Buddha Tribe formed with the idea of letting each member of the band bring his own spin to the music. Since then, they have continued to churn out music that is a blend of old and new influences that cuts across all genres. Though at first their songs may all sound like entirely different bands wrote them, there is a thread that is unmistakably Buddha Tribe. "It was evident from the start that the music was very spiritual and sincere. Although none of us claim to be Buddhist, the spiritual over and undertones in the music led us to come up with the name. The Buddhist way of life is fascinating and deeply rooted in many of the same values and beliefs that most of us abide by in our everyday lives. We took a break for a while from playing and came back in 2000 to play our first show in a couple of years. Now it is 2002 and we have grown and changed so much. Also our line up has changed completely. Tiny, Mike, and Danny are still here, but Trizkit has stepped in on drums, DJ EP has come up with sick turntable skills, Matt T. has stepped up with guitar in hand, and newest member Jon has helped fuel the energy and fire with his lyrical ability. So we're rolling twice as deep and a whole hell of a lot stronger. Our music is becoming more intricate, hard edged, and deeper than ever before. Everyone in the band brings their own gifts to the table and keeps the rest of us in check while challenging and inspiring each other musically. We are a family, brothers. We owe all that we have to each other and our devoted friends, families, and fans. We hope to see you in the crowd."

    Press Reviews
It's a great album that's a mixture of rock and hip hop. They sort of remind me of Frogboy and, to a lesser degree, Canada's Yam Cat. Great stuff. I really enjoy this band and I would like to hear more from them. They've got it goin' on. - Paul Autry / BallBusterHardMusic.com.................... Buddha Tribe displays an oh-so-cool mastery of this hard-edged rhyming genre, but with more of a crunch-rock edge. - Chris Barry / NJCoast.com.................... Let us all hope they stay on this path, and continue to "enlighten" us with their music for a long time. - Lazlo / BlowUpRadio.com....................
