Artist description
Bleeding Edge Spoken Word is not a band, but an independent record label. We have recorded more than 1000 hours of spoken word and performance poetry in the last two years and are releasing it here on MP3.com. Keep an eye on individual performers (via their individual stations) as there is a huge variety of material here.
We also have listed a vast range of historical material ranging from news reports of historic events to some of the first audio ever recorded. |

Artist History
Bleeding Edge Spoken Word began on October 16, 1999 with one guy and a cheap four-track recorder. We began putting out tapes of a local weekly open-mic (BakaTalk) and have advanced to the point where we release a couple dozen spoken word CDs in a year. |

Instruments
The performers are, for the most part, their own instruments. Occaisonal backing music is played on anything from accordian to guitar. |
