Press Reviews
…Another great song is 'Hope' (4.57) - and forgive me for what might seem to be over enthusiasm here, but this really is a truly fabulous album….New Horizons.......Belief is an excellent well-balanced album with a band who decided not to display their workmanship by playing selfish solos, but who display it by playing modest and sometimes even a bit sober. You hear that everything stands or falls with the way the songs are presented. The way each member displays himself seems of minor importance. This is the strength of Primitive Instinct. Each member seems to understand that creating good music doesn't mean that you are putting yourself into the spotlights by playing solo after solo. Hopefully we don't have to wait six years for a follow-up. Conclusion: 9 out of 10. The Dutch Progressive Rock Page........After six years again a sign of life of this British band- and a great one…..so you love more quiet songs in the boarderland between neoprog, alternative rock and pop, just check out this album. 8 points. DURP........The songs are accessible, but have enough variation for me, for instance because of the percussive drive or the strongly accenting keyboards, and if that is not enough listen to the vocal melodies, which simply shine.
