Press Reviews
PEOPLESOUND WEBSITE REVIEW: Here lie some invigorating global sounds that have been given the ambient treatment. Embellished by arresting beats and a veritable plethora of captivating samples, Ephemerid expertly experiment without interrupting the natural trajectory of their compositions. ?Seraph? is a perfect example of what to expect as an innovative and chilled-out soundscape that?s lush with synthetic texture is given a tribal (if not tropical) spin. ------------------------------------------------ GODS OF MUSIC REVIEW: I'll admit to being sceptical at first; I often find in World Fusion that the premise of traditional folk instruments combined with hi-tech loops does not work at all well. Having said that, Ephemerid managed to overcome this scepticism with relative ease, which must say something about it's worth. The listener is taken on a strange, bizarre journey from the world go, with sweeping synths, distant flutes and ethnic voices calling to you from afar. In a lot of ways Ephemerid is very similar to Amethystium, another Mp3.com champion. But Ephemerid has it's own identity too, so if you liked the former, I can recommend the latter certainly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ COMPUTER MUSIC MAGAZINE REVIEW: This worldly, expansive effort combines ethnic instruments with moody presentation and really goes to show just what can be done in a computer today. An atmospheric track that nods heavily in the direction of Enigma and creates a moody, ambient feel. Not to everyone's taste, but certainly a worthy piece o |
