Artist History Tourist formed when Charlotte area musicians who'd played in local bands decided to team up after brothers Frank and Mick Hoyle reunited as bandmates. Previously the two played together in such bands as Live Wire, The Midnite Werewolves and The Johnny High Band, among others. Jimmy Mosteller, one of the better guitarists in the area, was added to the now twin lead guitar lineup, bringing with him bassist Lanny Skinner - a high school friend. Finally, Mosteller recommended drummer Cliff Perrell, who'd worked with Mosteller on the Mad Hadder "No Heroes" album. Perrell began his drum career beating the skins for former Buzz USA rockers Ambush.
