Artist History
Saint Dymphna began as a collaboration between Shawn Evans and Eddie Rifkind. The pair came together in 1995 in a rock band called Spiral. Their search for a singer ended in 1997 with Angie Melfa. Angie, in turn, introduced local bassist/composer, John Talbert, to the band in early 2000. Although the band broke up in 2001, all members involved continue to compose and record new and innovative music on their own (mp3.com/echobox, mp3.com/jmt, mp3.com/badkabuki). |

Press Reviews
"Saint Dymphna: the patron saint of the mentally ill, and a fitting icon for a group of musicians adept at invoking strong, unsettling emotions with an array of different styles blended seamlessly together. The mythic and emotional tones of their music present a complex and enthralling presence that is impossible to ignore."- The House of Three Ravens (http://www.darksites.com/souls/goth/threeravens)" ...after a short listening session I was impressed so much I decided to send this greeting... There's so much energy packed in and it truly sounds out."- a fan from Finland, via e-mail "Your music is both powerfully mesmerizing and overflows me with massive emotion. The music is ultra original and equally mesmerizing. I love all the songs and I can't stop listening to it." - a fan from Romania, via e-mail |
