Artist description
Ramona's Bad Sex Machine is a winnipeg based experimental industrial solo project. The story behind the sound is something that can be called "non-music", a thinly disguised sound experiment which can be labeled as no wave or new wave music. The theory behind this is to incorporate characters, places, and visual spaces as an experiment to stimulate areas of the brain to produce a chain-reaction of non-events thus elaborated in sound. The purpose of that is to create a world of sound that does not exist, but has been painted with the subject matter in sound. |

Artist History
Neion (Jaimz Barton) began experimenting with sound in 1996, creating simple experimental peices involving noise and looping. In 2000 the project was reactivated and given the name "Ramona's Bad Sex Machine". He began working on actual material and made approximately 10 songs. He then abandoned the project, and the music and started the band "Suturefugue" with other solo industrial musicians. In 2001 RBSM was reactivated and he is currently reworking all of the old song and new material. |
