Artist History
Rabadango started in 1995 as "something to do on a Saturday" when a group of friends would meet at Bryan's house in Allston, MA (Allston Rock City) to play some music and drink some beers. You never knew who would show up those days, but it always seemed that Jeff and Rob would be there. After getting (much) better on their instruments, the 3 of them (along with original bass player Kevin Fay) started writing songs and got a few gigs as the band Seven Planet Lineup. In 1998 Kevin decided to part ways with the band, at about the same time their rehearsal space was closed down (an event known as the "Harvard Street Fiasco"). The band sputtered and stopped a few months later but reformed in late 1999, with the addition of Dennis Ganz on bass, and the acquisition of a new rehearsal space. After much contemplation, the band finally settled on the name Rabadango, wrote some more songs, and started recording and gigging. Dennis Ganz left the band in the summer of 2001, and Dennis Carmignani joined as their new bass player that fall. In July 2002 he also left the band and was replaced with Andrew Price. |
