Artist description
Galina Vracheva was born in Bulgaria and started her musical education at the age of seven at the public conservatory in Sofia. Later on she went to Moscow to study at the famous Tschaikovsky conservatory and stayed there for five years. She continued her studies at the public conservatory of Sofia and the Academy of Music in Munich (Germany) where she also took up composition. Prof. Vera Gornostaeva, prof. Lili Atanassova, prof. Ludwig Hoffmann and Paraschkev Hadjiev were among her teachers. |

Artist History
Galina Vracheva has won many international prizes among them the, "Senigallia pianocompetition" in Italy (1978) and in 1984 she won the "maria canals de Barcelona"-competition. She has thought at the ,"Hochschule fuer Musik" in Munich and was professor for piano -improvisation at the Tschaikovsky conservatory in Kiev. She performed at many international music festivals and has been a member of the jury of important music-competitions. In 1992 at the Tschaikovsky competition in Moscow and recently she was on the panel of the Rachmaninov-competition in Tambov. |
