This 12 song CD (6 French, 6 English) is a mosaic of cultural and musical influences ranging from native chanting and Celtic roots sounds to edgy, propulsive acoustic guitar-driven pop. This Regina-based Fransaskois singer/songwriter shows his love of diversity and his desire to bring people together by backing up his well-developed songcraft and soulful vocals with a wide variety of guest musicians. Mandolin, violin, cello, trumpet, banjo, accordion, sopilka (Ukrainian flute), and keyboards add colour and depth to the driving rhythm of the bass, drums and guitars. Melodic and layered, Balance was produced and arranged by Mark Schmidt and Francis Marchildon at EaRthling Sound Studio
