Artist description
Black Alpha is the birth-deformed brainchild of the multi-untalented instrumentalist known as Moth - melding metal, industrial, and gothic influences in ways never before feared by mankind. Distortion-saturated buzzsaw guitars, deep-throated vocals, and growling throbbing bass sounds add a raw organic edge to the backdrop of pounding drum-machines, with sequenced synthesizers adding tonal variation and texture. The emphasis is on solid riff-centered songs - music straightforward enough to exert instant appeal, yet strong enough to offer lasting enjoyment. Each song is individual, and instantly recognizable. The sound of the band is distinctive and cohesive, yet with a range of musical influences which has ensured local support slots with bands as diverse as nu-metal messiahs Kill II This, darkwave gothic icons Attrition, and rising techno-industrial stars the Chaos Engine. Black Alpha are a band who truly stand alone. Largely because they smell. |
