Artist description Weakener is a project that seeks to experiment with conventional music structure. Familiar sounds are used in unfamiliar ways, images are provoked through sound, and traditional song structure is abandoned. The music is a melding of genres, but falls on the border between abstract drum 'n' bass, dark ambient and intelligent dance music.

Artist History Weakener is the product of Kevin Potts, whose other project is Cage Deay, a dance-oriented industrial/techno act. Weakener is the result of intense experimentation, and is completely separated from the conventional dance focus of Cage Decay. Weakener was officially born July 2000, though over a year's worth of material had been leading up to the musical split.
