Artist History
Sandra began her involvement with music at an early age, teaching herself the recorder and having piano lessons. She played keyboards and sang backing vocals for the band Ocelot. She then started the Accoustic Aardvarks in Western Australia, with its main purpose of performing at science fiction conventions. Two of her songs that were enjoyed by audiences at that time were Face Dancer and Slan. Since then, Sandra has become an active electronic recording artist. She moved to Melbourne, where she joined Signal2Noise, and also worked on her solo recording projects. This year, Sandra Bogerd has been performing her synth pop repertoire live with the help of some friends. She also directed the RMIT Occasional Choral Society's performance of her choral work "Missa Prima". |

Press Reviews
"Sandra Bogerd - actually use the voice as the central component of their work and seem to build outwards from there, employing subtle vocal and production techniques. And here I was thinking that that was an art quickly being lost in the mists of time. As with all compilations (and albums) there are standout tracks - Sandra Bogerd's fun, Bjork-esque 'Hiding'..."Beat Magazine, January 2000 Sandra Bogerd's Bedeah is an all too-short pulse of electro beats and "world" chantsBOATCRUISE, Form Guide, November 1996 |
