Artist description A guitar player who's been influenced by a variety of artists and and appreciates the gift of being able to play. I had to get away from playing many years ago, because of other commitments. I'm slowly returning to it and I feel like I'm "going home" again.

Music Style Popular Rock, Classic Rock, and some Blues.

Musical Influences Django Riendhardt, The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, Jimmy Page, Duane Allman/Dickey Betts, George Benson, Joe Pass, Lindsey Buckingham, in that order. My playing style is unique in that I use both a pick and my second and third fingers for a kind of a combination of "pick style" and "finger picking". I use the pick for the notes that need the faster attack and emphasis, and the fingers for fill. It has a unique sound, particularly on the acoustic.

Similar Artists Probably no one in particular. I've developed my own style over the years. My personal preference is still Classical Rock, or just Rock, over all the others.

Artist History I've been playing since I was nine years old. Took lessons for two years as a kid then was the only one in our "group" who could figure out all the Beatles tunes so a few years later was in a band. We were getting paid gigs at age 15, played the jr. high dances ect. Went on the road when I was 20, had my 21st birthday in a resort hotel in the Pocono's. That band did over 750 shows in a period of two and a half years. That's 6 night's a week, 5 hours a night, not including personal rehearsal time or rehearsal time with the band. Either you get really good or you quit. We wanted to get good. Today as I slowly return, I'm working on simply improving my playing, recording and writing skills. Still miss the band experience though. Moved up here to Harrisburg, PA. Thought I'd only be here for a few weeks. I lived in Atlanta for about 20 years. Ever tried to collect from a previous employer for damages you'd experienced as a result of working for them? This has been dragging on for more than four years. Stupid me thought it only take a few months. Oh well..

Instruments Guitar, Acoustic and Electric. I'm finally replacing my old Acoustic Guitar, and am in the process of selecting components for a stage Electric supplied by a custom shop. You know the drill, gotta have that right sound.
